TS Analyzer Features & Benefits
The Manzanita TS analyzer is a cost-effective solution that has been selected by leading organizations because of its reliability, rich feature set and compliance with industry standards. The TS analyzer family of products will:
- Speed the product development and QA of your MPEG products
- Shorten the troubleshooting cycles
- Improve the quality of your MPEG products and workflows
Major Features
- Verifies compliance with MPEG, ATSC, & DVB standards for cable, telco, and satellite operators. Checks against specific profiles and encoding parameters; for example, those defined by the CableLabs VOD specification or ETR 290 priority 1, 2, and 3.
- Analyzes over 500 parameters. Examines all MPEG PSI tables, transport headers, adaptation fields and PES header structures in all transport packets, as well as higher level syntax of audio and video access units.
- Customizes TS analysis with user defined configurations. Individual checks can be turned on or off and set to errors or warnings. Custom table definitions and descriptors can be created to extend the analysis to support custom or proprietary data.
- Presents Transport Stream information including the multiplex structure, statistics about individual PID streams, PES, PSI tables, private sections and descriptors, and detailed characteristics of video and audio elementary streams carried in the transport stream.
- Displays in-depth TS analysis and visually plots results. The Table Viewer presents a full decode and statistics of each unique PSI table, SI table, private data table, and descriptor in the transport stream. The Packet Viewer displays data in individual transport packets. Additional tools plot buffer levels, bandwidth consumption, decode delay, PCR jitter and more.
- Detects DVB Subtitles, 608 & 708 Closed Captions & KLV Metadata. For captions, indicates the type present (CEA608 and/or DTV Closed Captions) the data channels (CC1, CC2, CC3, CC4) and services present (1-9, 10+). Verifies the A/53 bandwidth, KLV buffer model, and wrapper syntax.
- Analyzes transport streams files offline and IP streams in realtime. Without the need for additional hardware, the same software can be used to analyze file-based content, and real-time transport streams over a multicast IP connection.
